Banana Cam Continued

Here is some progression with my Banana Cam. I am just starting to learn about lighting and textures. So far that seems like the hardest point for me. I feel really comfortable modeling. My texture and lighting needs work though.

Cinema 4d Here I come

I am so excited to annouce that I have started my Cinema 4d classes, thank you Fleishman! Today was class #2 and I made a Banana Gram ;)
This idea came from Gray Gorilla Scale an awesome resource for 3d tutorials. It's not finished yet but its a start.
I am so excited to be modeling in a 3d program again. I loved using Maya in college but never got far enough with it. Cinema 4d is definitely easier than Maya though so this is a smooth transition.

Dexter

Netflix still hasn't uploaded Season 2 of Bates Motel! So I am currently watching Dexter. I never knew what the show was about but I did know the famous title sequence. 

I didn't realize the show Dexter started as a book series by Jeff Lindsay called Darkly Dreaming Dexter. The book is great too! I started the first one and so the far its everything in the first season. I wonder how close the show stayed to the rest of the book series.

Anyway, here is an ink drawing I made while watching Season 5. Meet the Morgans; Deborah, Dexter and Harry.  I wanted to of course use some sort of blood splatter effect. I also love geometry and wanted the lines to emulate the strings Dexter uses when he analyzes the blood patterns in crime scenes.

Inside The Edit

My friend and fellow editor sent me this video today. I found it very inspirational! This video made me feel appreciated and understood.
It was posted on the site called F Stoppers which is a daily mash of behind the scenes info on the world of video and photography from news, gear and content. Pretty Cool!

Anti-Bullying

Singapore's Coalition Against Bullying for Children and Youth is spreading the word on anti-bullying with a video that when shared gets a millisecond shorter every time you share it (on Facebook)! The black-and-white animated film shows a boy who is being bullied at school. "I don't feel safe anywhere," he states plaintively. "I feel all alone."

Share it, to end it! As the tagline says.
